Cologne Fragrance Scent
Dare
perfume
If you have wanted a new fragrance, and as luck
would have it, I absolutely LOVE this one! There are
a number of scents, which I feel are classic, yet too
old for me. The Dare perfume is a perfect example of
this. I love the smell, yet it smells like a grandmother
to me for some reason. Perhaps when I'm in my 40's and
beyond I'll pick up the Dare perfume, for now I feel
it's just too old. With the Dare perfume, I feel like
I have a lovely, classic scent that is truly ageless.
It is hard to describe scent, isn't it? Like describing
the color orange to a blind person. To begin, I'll tell
you that some of the ingredients in this Dare perfume
which give it its distinctive scent are orange blossom,
jasmine, vanilla, amber, white iris, ylang ylang, tiara
flower and sandalwood. None of these strikes a particular
chord on its own. What this Dare perfume manages to
do is to combine these things into a fresh flowery scent
with some warmth to it. Not as much warmth as "Obsession"
but enough to add a little sex appeal to an otherwise
light and floral scent. The scent lasts all day. I have
put it on at 7 am, and had someone compliment me at
7pm- so that is pretty impressive for an eau de toilette!
My
fiancée loves the Dare perfume - he chose it
for me, so he should! I should also say that a number
of my friends put some on when they are at my house,
because they love the way it smells. I like that people
don't recognize the Dare perfume. There are so many
perfumes out there that I love, and will instantly recognize
when I smell them. I know the smell of "Romance,"
"Shalimar," "Obsession," "Tresor,"
"Beautiful," "Ysatis," "no.5,"
and many, many more. No one recognizes this smell, and
I dig that. They just associate me with having a very
unique and pleasing perfume. That's the ultimate goal
in a scent, isn't it?
The
Dare perfume bottle is a large square with curved in
sides. There is an etched pattern on it, reminiscent
of a Hermes Scarf. The cap is a gold color. The box
it comes in is yellow and orange and very attractive.
I highly recommend the Dare perfume, it's feminine,
classy, and sexy. It's also on the pricey side, but
a little goes a long way, and you may find it for far
less than $100 (for a 3 oz. Eau De Toilette), at one
of those bargain outlets. The next time you're in a
department store, ask to smell it- and see what you
think. Men, this might make a wonderful Valentine's
Day surprise! If you like the way it smells, pick it
up for the woman in your life- I guarantee you, she'll
love it! All that means to me is it is the best woman's'
perfume I have ever had the pleasure to breathe, it
is like no other. For the last six months that my wife
has been wearing this perfume, she has also found that
she likes the life of the perfume it wears well throughout
the day without being reapplied. The Dare perfume is
well suited to a dressed up night on the town. Or even
lightly applied for a career woman. Such a rich scent
seems it would be out of place on teens outside of perhaps
prom. Leave it behind if you are going to a Biker Bar,
but wear it if you are going to the Piano Bar.
