Desirade
Perfume
I've
always loved the smell of good perfume. I've used quite
a few that have drawn notice from others when I've worn
it but nothing like the attention I get when I'm wearing
my Desirade perfume. I have had so many people ask me
what I'm wearing it's almost embarrassing but what surprises
me the most are those who come up to me and say, "oh,
you are wearing the Desirade perfume l! Then they tell
me their girlfriend, wife, etc, wears it!
It
was a funny thing the way I found this perfume. Why,
I do not know, but at the particular moment when I discovered
Desirade perfume I was on a plane coming back from Paris
with a few good perfume purchases safely tucked away
in my carry-on bag. I noticed the lady sitting near
me was wearing a really unusual and beautiful fragrance
and since it was a long flight we struck up a conversation
about perfumes. It turned out she lived in the Virgin
Islands, St Thomas, and owned a discount, duty-free,
perfume store on the main shopping street there, so,
of course, I had to ask her what perfume she was wearing
and if she knew why Chaos was being discontinued. After
pulling out her lovely little blue star bottle of the
Desirade perfume and giving me a spritz I knew I had
to have some for my very own.
The
Desirade perfume has been classified as a romantic scent
and is a blend of vanilla, sandalwood, patchouli, with
the fruity essence of fresh citrus along with other
fruity aromas and, of all things, Chocolate. Maybe that's
why so many people tell me I smell delicious, as just
happened this past New Years Eve. At times it can even
get embarrassing but I guess I love it or else I wouldn't
be wearing it. Funny thing, that bottle of Chaos is
still more than half full sitting on my dresser along
with all the other perfumes I have but, I have gone
through quite a few of those lovely little star shaped
bottles in the 2 1/2 years since I met that woman on
the plane. Yes the Desirade perfume is costly, she sold
me my first bottle for $50.00, the bottle that sells
for $67.00 in Bloomingdale's and when, months later,
I asked her if she had the refillable bottle she said
she didn't carry it because she didn't usually get repeat
business since she catered to the passengers on the
cruise ships that made their way daily ashore to buy
all the duty free products the Island is noted for.
