Diesel
Green Cologne
Growing
up my favorite flower in my mother's garden was the
Lily of the Valley, with its sweet aromatic scent. So
naturally when I first received the Diesel green cologne
as a gift from my boyfriend (now husband!) I was quite
pleased as it reminded me so much of my mother's garden.
That bottle has long since been finished up but my husband
liked it so much that he surprised me with another bottle
this last Christmas. The Diesel green cologne is equally
elegant, with its wonderful light floral smell, with
just a touch of citrus, that is romantic and captivating.
The
Diesel green cologne, has wonderful uplifting top notes
of black currant bergamot and basil. Top notes are the
essential oils that typically evaporate very fast and
give you the initial impression of a scent but typically
do not last very long. The longer lasting base notes
include Lily of the Valley, along with subtle lemon
musk and sandalwood. While the Diesel green cologne
is obviously a beautiful selection for a spring or summer
day, it also works well as a spirit-lifting fragrance
during the dark, dreary winter months. Likewise, while
most women would chose to wear this as a daytime fragrance,
I have worn in the evenings on hot summer nights and
it is quite pleasant and not overpowering.
The
Diesel green cologne comes in a clear glass bottle.
Its white pull-off plastic lid has a beautiful embossed
design. I found the bottle easy to hold and direct the
spray, but I did have to be a little bit careful not
to over-spray. The Diesel green cologne has a very refreshing
floral fragrance which work well for me living here
in California. Needless to say, it brings back wonderful
memories of my Mom's garden, which unfortunately I am
unable to duplicate since I didn't inherit her green
thumb. If you don't enjoy very pure floral scents, this
might not be a good choice for you. However, if you
enjoy a nice light floral scent that is not overwhelming,
then the Diesel green cologne is just for you or your
loved one.
