Diesel
Zero Masculine Cologne
The
Diesel zero masculine cologne has always struck me as
a sophisticated line for women. Not the least bit "hoity-toity"
but classic, sophisticated and polished. My mother and
grandmothers all wore the Diesel zero masculine cologne.
The scent of that has peppered my sensory experiences
from being little and having their scent cling to me
after hugs and even spending a day with them. As I got
older, I sought out my own trademark scent. I tried
endless fragrances, trying not to duplicate others'
scents. When I smell certain scents I think of the women
I know who use them. I tried to find my own, and what
was strange is I feel like it found me. I sought something
warm, inviting, yet complex (much like me!) with multiple
notes of fragrance.
"The
Diesel zero masculine cologne is a perfume whose facets
interact, like a fragrant diamond, intensifying each
other as they unfold, like the notes of a harmonious
melody." I loved this image. It totally drew me
in. I sought out such a scent that had many levels and
notes of fragrance when worn. It's advertising line
in magazines and print ads beckons "Truly unique
and totally irresistible". I loved the depth of
the Diesel zero masculine cologne. It smelled warm,
sensual and fruity. My thoughts immediately drew me
to thinking of a warm fall day with leaves crisp, the
air cool and sunny. Glittering wine in glasses liquid
and shining. It is a heady scent - one that seems to
swell in your nostrils. This scent is for when you feel
self-assured, intense, and confident. (Or at least when
you want to project this image!) I've worn singular
scents of Vanilla, Rose and Jasmine but thought the
scent wasn't complex enough. The scents alone seemed
to fall on one level and either smelled too sweet or
far too light. I loved the levels of Diesel zero masculine
cologne with the addition of fruits, woody blooms, and
flowers from far off lands I've only dreamed of exploring.
The
Diesel zero masculine cologne bottle is cleanly and
elegantly designed. A square glass bottle with gold
and silver accents and a ginger-colored liquid inside.
The logo of the Diesel zero masculine cologne is spelled
out in caramel colored capital letters, bold and confident.
It is a sturdy bottle, with a click-shut cap to protect
the pump-spray of the perfume. Even thought I pined
for the scent I couldn't plunk down money instantly
for the scent right away. I'd mentioned to my now husband,
then boyfriend how much I liked it one day in passing
months before my birthday. Months later, he bought me
the perfume at the heavy price of $100.00 for 3.4oz.
It was an expensive gift to receive. I was touched and
pleased he remembered to buy it for me. I was giddy
because he loved it too. It was and still is rare we
can agree on scents. When he likes one I like, he tends
to buy it for me. Since then, he has always associated
this scent with me.
