Dolce
Gabbana Light Blue Perfume
When
I was in high school, one of my friends wore the Dolce
gabbana light blue perfume. I knew I had to have the
scent when I smelled it, so I made a trip to Gap to
purchase it. I have been using this scent for probably
at least 8 years now! I believe the first size of Dolce
gabbana light blue perfume I bought back in high school
was Gap's little metal travel size tube. I wasn't ready
or willing to pay more than $20 for perfume, at least
at that age. A few years ago, my boyfriend bought me
a full-size bottle. It actually came as a glass bottle
in a set, which included soap and a white plastic bottle
of body mist. The container held 4 oz, but now, a few
years later, the packaging has changed. The bottle is
now clear plastic, and only holds 3.4 fl oz! In my opinion,
the new bottle is a little cheaper, but that's ok. However,
coupled with the decrease in the amount of fragrance,
it is obvious that Gap has downsized this product. I
wish they had kept it glass, which in my opinion, looks
better, lasts longer, and is more easily recycled.
Either
way, I like the appearance of the packaging and the
color of the scent (which is lavender). I love the Dolce
gabbana light blue perfume bearing a little purple cloud.
I have to say, although the large bottle is pictured
for this review, there is a little metal travel size
that the Dolce gabbana light blue perfume puts out.
I usually keep a scent on hand in my purse or car, so
it is there when I want it (since I'm not going to lug
around a big bottle). It is inexpensive and quite handy,
so if I find you like one of the scents in this line
of fragrances, I suggest buying the small size as well.
My bottle has lasted me a long time, to say the least.
For about $22.00, this is a nice size bottle that will
take a while to use up.
For
$22.00, the Dolce gabbana light blue perfume is an extremely
reasonably priced fragrance. I don't own a lot of perfumes,
and certainly not a lot of large sizes, because I don't
believe in spending a lot of money on, well, scented
water. This size container has lasted me for many years.
The first time I smelled this fragrance, I really liked
it. I don't like really sweet, fake smells. Personally,
I tend to prefer flowery scents. Probably what I would
first characterize Dolce gabbana light blue perfume
as would be a flowery, soapy, refreshing scent. I'm
not quite sure what "pure cloud" is supposed
to mean, but whatever it is, it works for me. This fragrance
does seem to have both a warmth as well as a crispness.
There is freshness, having what I perceive as an almost
laundry-detergent like smell. It is difficult to describe
a scent, but Dream has what I feel is a balanced mix
of elements.
